asked the Chief Secretary whether he will state who is the Crown solicitor for Meath; and why, if his salary is fixed at £200, is he being paid A salary of £300?

Mr. BIRRELL

The Crown solicitor for Meath is Mr. John George Fottrell. His salary was £200 a year up to last July, when, on the death of the Sessional Crown Solicitor for the County, the offices of Crown and Sessional Crown Solicitor were united with a salary of £300 a year for the united office.
