§ Report made from the Committee for Privileges:
- 1. That by Letters Patent dated the 14th day of February, 1919, Sir Satyendra Prasanna Sinha Knight, the father of the Petitioner, was created Baron Sinha of Raipur in the Presidency of Bengal with a limitation of such dignity, title and honour to him and the heirs male of his body lawfully begotten.
- 2. That on the 15th day of May, 1880, the said Baron Sinha of Raipur intermarried with Gobinda Mohini Sinha according to the formalities prescribed by Hindu law and usage.
- 3. That the said Baron Sinha of Raipur and his said wife were at all times domiciled in Your Majesty's said Presidency and were members of the Hindu community until the year 1886.
- 4. That in the year 1886 the said Baron Sinha of Raipur and his said wife left the Hindu community and joined a monogamous sect known as the Sadharan Brahmo Samaj, whose tenets, customs, rites and ceremonies they thenceforth observed.
- 5. That the Petitioner was born at Calcutta on the 22nd day of August, 1887, and is the eldest son of the said marriage.
- 6. That the said Baron Sinha of Raipur died on the 4th day of March, 1928, without having contracted any other marriage.
- 7. That His Majesty should be humbly prayed to direct that a Writ of Summons to Parliament may be issued to the Petitioner Aroon Kumar Sinha as the second Baron Sinha of Raipur.
