The CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES informed the House, That the Select Committee did not meet yesterday owing to the absence through illness of the Lord Clanwilliam (E. Clanwilliam); that in pursuance of the powers given him by Standing Order No. 97, he had appointed the Viscount Chaplin and the Lord de Clifford as members of the Select Committee on the said Bill in the place of the Viscount Falkland and the Lord Clanwilliam (E. Clanwilliam); and that the Committee has met this day at eleven o'clock: Read, and ordered to lie on the Table.
