Report from the Special Orders Committee, that they have examined the Special Order as required by the Standing Orders of the House, that a petition against the Order has been presented by the Urban District Councils of Stretford, Audenshaw, Droylsden and Cheadle and Gatley, and that having considered the points referred to in subsection (6) of Standing Order 191, they are of opinion that there is no necessity for a further inquiry by a Select Committee: Read, and ordered to lie on the Table.
