Petition of Charles, Marquess of Huntly, praying that he may be permitted to appear and be heard before their Lordships and before the Committee fur Privileges by his Counsel and Agents in opposition to the Petition and Claim of Sir Bruce Gordon Seton, Baronet, and that he may be at liberty to cross-examine such witnesses as the Claimant may produce, and to lodge a printed case, and produce such evidence in contradiction of any evidence that may be produced by the said Claimant, and also such evidence as will support the Petitioner's right to the title, honour, and dignity of Lord Gordon in the Peerage of Scotland as he may be advised to be material for the protection of his rights and interests; and that he may be allowed reasonable time to prepare his Case and Evidence; read and referred to the Committee for Privileges.
