Lord Filkin

Moved, That the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 84 and 85.—(Lord Filkin.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Lord Filkin

My Lords, I thank the Opposition Front Benches for their commitment to the Bill. There have been occasions when, sadly, we have not seen with one eye, particularly tonight, but the commitment from all parts of the House to legislate to change practice in the world to make it better for children is respected. I think that the House has been of great benefit in that respect and I look forward to working with my new opposition partners, if I can so put it, on other issues. I also thank the Bill team, who have been redoubtable as ever. I extend particular thanks to the noble Baroness, Lady Ashton, for all her leadership and work on the Bill.
