§ Baroness AmosMy Lords, as the House will know, tomorrow is Armistice Day. Although the House will not be sitting at 11.00 a.m., Members of the House, their staff and officials of the House will be attending to their duties. I think that the House will agree that it is appropriate that we should join the nation in observing the two-minute silence at that time, so that we might remember those who gave their lives for their country to help to preserve our democratic freedom. Instructions will also be issued to Heads of Department, so that those members of staff who wish to observe the two-minute silence are enabled to do so.
