My Lords, I beg to introduce a Bill to make provision for public information about the burden of taxation, for a public holiday in each calendar year to mark in symbolic fashion the date on which the national burden of taxation may be said to have been discharged, and for connected purposes. I beg to move that this Bill be now read a first time.
