§ 106 Clause 69, page 40, leave out lines 7 to 10.
§ Lord Williams of MostynMy Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 106.
This is a purely procedural amendment. It takes away subsection (6) of Clause 69, which provides that nothing in the Bill imposes any charge on the people or on public funds. The provision was found necessary during the Bill's passage through this House—as will be notoriously well known to all but me—to avoid questions of privilege.
§ Moved, That the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 106.—(Lord Williams of Mostyn.)
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
