§ Lord CarterMy Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 p.m. my noble friend Lady Hayman will, with the leave of the House, repeat a Statement that is to be made in another place on tobacco.
1035 I recently announced that, subject to progress of business, the House would be asked to return from the Christmas Recess on Thursday 7th January. I have to tell your Lordships that there has been a change to these arrangements. Following further negotiations with the usual channels, it will now not be necessary for the House to be asked to return until Monday 11th January. As previously announced, the House will sit on Thursday 17th December at 11 o'clock and rise at the end of that day's Sitting.
