HL Deb 10 February 1997 vol 578 c11

Read a third time.

Lord Monkswell

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill do now pass.

In declaring an interest as the chairman of the Campaign against Bullying at Work, perhaps I may thank all noble Lords who took part in the deliberations on the Bill. As the Government recognised on Second Reading, the Bill deals with a real problem. It has received careful scrutiny in this House and was improved in Committee. No further amendments were thought necessary either on Report or on Third Reading. I believe that that demonstrates the workings of this House at their best.

I am sure that the House of Commons will give the Bill the support that it deserves as a serious attempt to promote good practice in employment and provide redress for those who have suffered bullying or harassment at work.

Moved, That the Bill do now pass.—(Lord Monkswell.)

On Question, Bill passed, and sent to the Commons.
