Earl Ferrers

My Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 283 and 284. Perhaps I may also speak to Amendment No. 300 at the same time. These amendments do two things. First, they fulfil our undertaking to my noble friend Lord Mills to consider bringing forward amendments relating to scales of fees for land drainage consents. Secondly, they fulfil our undertaking given to the noble Earl, Lord Lytton, to consider bringing forward a suitable amendment on the management of water levels to facilitate spray irrigation.

Moved, That the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 283 and 284.—(Earl Ferrers.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
