§ Baroness BlatchMy Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 154A to Lords Amendment No. 154. It may be for the convenience of the House if I speak at the same time to Amendments Nos. 154B and 154C. The purpose of the Government's amendment is to make clear that the order-making power tabled by the noble Lord, Lord Donoughue, and added to the Bill at Third Reading can be extended if public order and public safety considerations apply to a class of sport—for example, rugby union, rugby league or cricket—or to a particular sporting event or events—for example, Wimbledon or test matches. We have also made some minor technical amendments but those do not materially alter the effect of the Lords amendment. I beg to move.
