§ Whether they are aware of the conditions under which Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Mooney were recently held in prison in Bucharest, Romania, and what representations they have made to the Romanian authorities about this case.
§ Baroness Chalker of WallaseyMy Lords, we are aware of the conditions described by Mr. and Mrs. Mooney relating to their detention immediately following their arrest on 6th July. We are in contact with the Romanian authorities about it.
§ Lord BethellMy Lords, I am grateful to my noble friend for that encouraging Answer. In view of the extremely helpful points made in recent days by the President of Romania, I shall not pursue the matter and will not ask a supplementary question.
