9 Schedule 1, page 4, line 46, at end insert: ("(bb) any shop which is a nursery, garden centre or do-it-yourself home improvement shop, or a combination of these, and where the trade or business carried on consists wholly or mainly of the sale of any one or more of the following—

  1. (i) plants,
  2. (ii) garden supplies and accessories, and
  3. (iii) materials and tools suitable for use in the construction, maintenance, repair or decoration of buildings,")

The Commons disagreed to this amendment for the following reason:

9A Because the Commons do not consider it desirable to exempt shops of the kind described in the amendment from restrictions on Sunday opening.
