HL Deb 23 June 1994 vol 556 c473

7.7 p.m.

Report received.

Clause 4 [Prevention of pollution from ships: further power to implement international agreements]:

Lord Mustill moved the amendment:

Page 3, line 32, leave out ("(3)") and insert ("(4)")

The noble Lord said: My Lords, my amendment would simply correct a minor typographical error in Clause 4 where what should be a reference to Section 20(4) (e) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1979 erroneously appears as a reference to Section 20(3) (e). I beg to move.

Lord Clinton-Davis

My Lords, I should like to welcome the noble Lord, Lord Mustill, and to commend the superb way in which he has moved this highly controversial amendment.

On Question, amendment agreed to.
