§ The Lord Chancellor (Lord Mackay of Clashfern)My Lords, before the commencement of business, I take the opportunity to inform the House that I am to receive Her Majesty The Queen at the Royal Courts of Justice where she is to open the new East Wing in the afternoon of Wednesday 13th July.
Accordingly, I trust that the House will grant me leave of absence for Wednesday 13th July.
