§ Lord Rodger of EarlsferryMy Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 9 and 10.
Amendment No. 9 simply paves the way for the new subsection which is inserted by Amendment No. 10. The purpose of that new subsection is to provide for the earliest possible commencement of the correction which is made by paragraph 5 of Schedule 5 to the Bill. That correction will in turn permit early commencement of certain provisions in the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988, as amended, which relate to the identification of drivers whose vehicles are photographed when failing to obey traffic signals.
