§ Lord Rodger of EarlsferryMy Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a second time. Again, this is a consolidation measure. It consolidates certain enactments relating to the constitution and proceedings of the Scottish Land Court and repeals provisions of the Crofters Holdings (Scotland) Act 1886 relating to the Scottish Land Court, those being no longer of practical utility. The Bill is pure consolidation: it is intended to make no change in existing law. If your Lordships approve, it will be referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills which will consider it and make its report to the House in due course.
§ Moved, That the Bill be now read a second time. —(Lord Rodger of Earlsferry.)
§ On Question, Bill read a second time, and referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.
