§ Moved, on behalf of the Committee of Selection, That the Lord Richard be appointed to the Select Committees on House of Lords' Offices, Liaison, Privileges, Procedure of the House and Selection in the place of the Lord Cledwyn of Penrhos; and that the Lord McIntosh of Haringey be appointed to the Select Committees on House of Lords' Offices and Procedure of the House in the place of the Lord Williams of Elvel.—(The Chairman of Committees.)
§ Lord GlenamaraMy Lords, before this Motion is voted upon, I hope that it will be in order for me to express the hope that, if elected, the noble Lords will ensure that never again is any broadcasting authority permitted to make the kind of misleading programme which we saw last evening and which was a travesty of the House of Lords.
§ The Chairman of CommitteesMy Lords, it is not for me to answer for the two noble Lords in question; but I feel sure that the sense of the House is entirely with what the noble Lord, Lord Glenamara, has just said.
