§ Lord HeskethMy Lords, certain Members of your Lordships' House who are keen students of Tompion may have noted that some of the devices around this House, both in the Chamber and outside, are indicating a most incorrect and inappropriate state of affairs with regard to time. The only accurate device is the digital device in this Chamber. Unfortunately, it refers only to the business that is being partaken of at that time. I assure your Lordships that I am addressing the matter with the House's authorities in order to restore a proper level of time as soon as possible.
