My Lords, in moving the first Motion standing in my name concerning Standing Orders (Public Business), I should like also to speak to the second Motion concerning the Offices Committee.

Noble Lords will recall that in the last Session the House agreed to the second report of the Offices Committee which reorganised the committee itself and reduced the numbers from 55 to a maximum of 30, with four new technical sub-committees. In future, one of those sub-committees will deal with the work of the Leave of Absence and Lords' Expenses Committee and therefore Standing Order 62 is no longer apposite.
