§ Lord HeskethMy Lords, it may be for the convenience of the House to know that, subject to the progress of business, the House will rise for the Christmas recess on Thursday 19th December. Your Lordship; may also find it convenient to know that, since Easter will be relatively late next year, it is intended that the recess will include the week before Easter, running up to Good Friday. Your Lordships may therefore plan on the basis that, whatever else is the case, Parliament will not be sitting in Holy Week.
