§ Lord Williams of ElvelMy Lords, it would be wrong to allow this Bill to pass from this Chamber without congratulating the noble Baroness, Lady Carnegy, on her persistence in carrying a Private Member's Bill through this House. There have been a number of debates and she applied herself with assiduity to answer them. If all noble Lords were to apply themselves as assiduously as the noble Baroness, this would be a very happy place.
§ Baroness Carnegy of LourMy Lords, I thank the noble Lord for his kind remarks and for the extremely helpful way in which he followed the Bill and gave his comments on it. I should like to thank all those who spoke on the Bill, including my noble friend Lord Coleraine, who did a great deal of work on it. My thanks also go to everybody who has been involved with the Bill. I thank the Consumers' Association, which did all the preliminary work and put the Bill together and the Government, who assisted with its drafting. In particular my noble friend Lord Astor was extremely helpful. I am grateful to all concerned with the passage of the Bill through this House.
