HL Deb 18 June 1991 vol 530 c87

64 Clause 75, page 43, line 23, after 'shall' insert', except in such cases as may be prescribed,'.

Lord Brabazon of Tara

My Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 64. I shall speak also to Amendments Nos. 66, 128 and 130.

Minor Amendments Nos. 64 and 66 to the provisions on records of apparatus will allow appropriate exceptions to be made by regulations from the new duty in Clause 75 on undertakers to record the location of "every item of apparatus" of theirs in the street, and the associated duty in Clause 76 on persons carrying out work who discover unmapped or wrongly mapped apparatus in the street. Amendments Nos. 128 and 130 do the same for Scotland.

Moved, That the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 64.—(Lord Brabazon of Tara.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
