HL Deb 04 February 1991 vol 525 c877
The Lord Advocate (Lord Fraser of Carmyllie)

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a second time. It is a consolidation measure. It consolidates the Agricultural Holdings (Scotland) Act 1949 and other enactments relating to agricultural holdings in Scotland. It is pure consolidation and it is intended to make no change in the existing law. If your Lordships approve, it will be referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills which will consider it and make its report to the House in due course.

Moved, That the Bill be now read a second time.—(Lord Fraser of Carmyllie.)

On Question, Bill read a second time, and referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.
