219 Schedule 6, page 91, line 32, at end insert: 'and (c) in subsection (5), for the word "hear" there shall be substituted the words ", whether or not the objector appears, consider".'.

My Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 219. The amendment seeks to ensure that competent written objections to a licensing application submitted to a licensing board are considered by the board whether or not the objector appeals at the hearing of the application.
