Clause 2 [Interpretation]:

Lord Newall moved Amendment No. 1: Page 3, line 8, leave out from ("namely") to (", any") in line 10 and insert ("a licence holder within the meaning of Part I of the Electricity Act 1989").

The noble Lord said: My Lords, the Bill was considered in detail by a Select Committee of the House last June. The amendments comprise adjustments to the definition of statutory undertakers and would help the Great Yarmouth Port Users' Association. In general terms they are very helpful amendments. I beg to move.
