§ The Lord Chancellor (Lord Mackay of Clashfern)My Lords, before the commencement of business I take the opportunity to inform the House that I have accepted an invitation from the Canadian Bar Association to attend an advocacy symposium in Toronto from Thursday, 3rd May 1990 to Monday, 7th May 1990. Accordingly, I trust that the House will agree to grant me leave of absence for Thursday, 3rd May 1990.
