HL Deb 30 October 1989 vol 512 c1
The Lord Chancellor (Lord Mackay of Clashfern)

My Lords, I have to inform your Lordships that Her Majesty has been pleased to determine the abeyance of the Barony of Grey of Codnor in favour of Charles Legh Shuldham Cornwall-Legh. The barony fell into abeyance in 1496, on the death of Henry Lord Grey of Codnor, from one of whose aunts the present Baron descends. The noble Lord now attends at the Bar with his writ of summons to take his seat.

Lord Grey of Codnor

Took the Oath.
