The Lord Chancellor

My Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 116 to 120. These amendments are intended to clarify the provisions in subsections (4) and (5) relating to time limits for interim care and supervision orders. Amendment No. 116 would provide that the court itself may specify a period after which an interim order shall end. The only limitation is that the interim order may not endure beyond any one of the events listed in subsection (4)(a) to (e). Amendments Nos. 117 to 120 are drafting amendments. That is perhaps sufficient explanation of them.

Moved, That the House do agree with the Commons in the said amendments. —(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
