80 Clause 24, page 21, line 25, at end insert — '(7A) Where a local authority provides accommodation under section (provision of accommodation for children in police protection or detention or on remand, etc.) (1) or (2)(a) or (b) for a child who is ordinarily resident within the area of another local authority and they are not maintaining him in —

  1. (a) a community home provided by them;
  2. (b) a controlled community home; or
  3. (c) a hospital vested in the Secretary of State,
they may recover from that other authority any reasonable expenses incurred by them in providing the accommodation and maintaining him.'.

81 Clause 25, page 21, line 33, after '17(2)', insert (`provision of accommodation for children in police protection or detention or on remand, etc.) (3)'.

82 Page 21, line 33, leave out '24(7) or (8)' and insert '24(7) to (8)'.
