385 Schedule 9, page 115, line 1, leave out sub-paragraph (b) and insert —
`(b) for the definition of legal guardian there shall be substituted—
'legal guardian', in relation to a child or young person, means a guardian of a child as defined in the Children Act 1989".'
§ The Lord ChancellorMy Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 385. I shall speak also to Amendments Nos. 388 to 390, 396 to 400, 402 and 409. These amendments all make consequential amendments to existing legislation. This chiefly involves the replacement of various references to old-style orders and provisions which are to be repealed by the Bill with references to the Bill and to orders under it.
