§ Lord Molloy asked Her Majesty's Government:
§ Whether they have any announcement to make regarding war widows' pensions, following on the clear expression of views in the House on 4th December [HL Deb., cols. 597–600] and the undertakings then made by the Deputy Leader of the House.
§ The Lord Privy Seal (Lord Belstead)My Lords, as my right honourable friend the Prime Minister said last Thursday in another place, we have been considering the matter further and my noble friend the Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Defence will be repeating a Statement to the House later this afternoon.
§ Lord MolloyMy Lords, I am grateful for the reply from the noble Lord the Leader of the House for which I thank him. I shall await the Statement when it is read in this House.
