HL Deb 02 November 1988 vol 501 cc302-3

The Viscount of Falkland moved Amendment No. 125A: Line 3, after ("120,") insert ("or under this section,").

The noble Viscount said: My Lords, I beg to move Amendment No. 125A, to which I have already spoken with Amendment No. 116. It again concerns the likelihood that people will go for short licences. It is a rigid matter. I do not believe there is anything further I can add. I beg to move.

Lord Strathclyde

My Lords, with the leave of the House and with respect, I understood that the noble Viscount would withdraw Amendment No. 125A.

The Viscount of Falkland

My Lords, I am grateful to the noble Lord. That indeed is my intention. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment.

Amendment No. 125A, as an amendment to Amendment No. 125, by leave, withdrawn.

On Question, Motion (Commons Amendment No. 125) agreed to.
