7 Clause 1, page 2, line 38, at end insert— '(aa) any conduct which by virtue of subsection (7)(b) below is treated as conduct in the territory of a foreign state and which satisfies the conditions in paragraph (a) above; or".'.

8 Page 3, line 4, leave out 'outside the United Kingdom'.

9 Page 3, line 14, at end insert 'punishable with imprisonment for a term of 12 months, or any greater punishment'.

10 Page 3, line 19, leave out paragraph (b) and insert— '(b) conduct on a colony or dependency of a foreign state, or a vessel, aircraft or hovercraft of a foreign state, shall be treated as if it were conduct in the territory of that state'.

My Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 7 to 10 en bloc. It may be for the convenience of the House if at the same time I speak to Amendments Nos. 267, 269 and 273. These are drafting amendments which arise from a need to clarify what is for the purposes of the Bill an extradition crime.
