HL Deb 14 December 1987 vol 491 cc589-90
Lord Brougham and Vaux

My Lords, before my noble friend moves that the House do now adjourn, perhaps I may take it on behalf of the whole House that we send our best wishes to our Leader for a speedy recovery.

Lord Lloyd of Kilgerran

My Lords, I too presume to support that. I heard only this evening of the position of the noble Viscount the Leader of the House, and I associate myself so warmly with what the noble Lord has said.

Lord Ponsonby of Shulbrede

My Lords, from these Benches, I also very much associate myself with what the noble Lord has said. We hope that we shall have good news in the morning.

Lord Beaverbrook

I wish to couple myself and my colleagues with those good wishes. I shall undertake to pass on all the comments and good wishes from noble Lords this evening.

House adjourned at thirteen minutes before twelve o'clock.
