38 After Clause 32, insert the following clause:
"Disclosure of information furnished under the Diseases of Fish Act 1983.
.—(1) In subsection (1) of section 9 of the Diseases of Fish Act 1983 (disclosure of information obtained in pursuance of section 7 of that Act), after paragraph (c) there shall be inserted the words "or
(d) for the purpose of enabling a water authority to carryout any of their functions under the 1937 Act".".
§ Lord BelsteadMy Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 38. This clause will allow my right honourable friends to disclose information, collected under the fish farm registration scheme, to water authorities for the purposes of enabling the authorities to carry out their functions under the Diseases of Fish Act 1937.
