HL Deb 24 March 1986 vol 472 cc1157-8
Lord Ennals

My Lords, if that is the end of Starred Questions, may I ask the noble Viscount the Leader of the House whether he has had any indication of the intention of the Minister from the Department of Health and Social Services to make clear the Government's policy on 'flu vaccine? He will no doubt recall that on Thursday there was an exchange in this House, in which my noble friend Lord Cledwyn of Penrhos and I were involved, when the noble Baroness made a statement which was strongly critical of her own department's policy on 'flu vaccine.

Noble Lords

Order!

Lord Ennals

My Lords, my noble friend asked whether a Statement could be made, and I am asking the Leader of the House whether there is the intention that the Statement should be made—

Noble Lords

Order!

Lord Ennals

My Lords, what is out of order about that?

The Lord President of the Council (Viscount Whitelaw)

My Lords, perhaps I should say that I understood that my noble friend said that if there was any necessity for such a Statement after the exchanges last week she would consider making one. She has not told me that she is going to do so. Since the noble Lord asks, I will of course look into the matter further.
