The Lord Chancellor (Lord Hailsham of Saint Marylebone)

My Lords, I have it in command from Her Majesty the Queen to acquaint the House that Her Majesty, having been informed of the purport of the Family Law Bill, has consented to place her interest, so far as it is concerned on behalf of the Crown, at the disposal of Parliament for the purpose of the Bill.

Bill read a third time, and passed, and sent to the Commons.

Lord Elwyn-Jones

My Lords, may I be permitted to congratulate the noble and learned Lord on his noble pilgrimage?

The Lord Chancellor

My Lords, I am obliged to the noble and learned Lord, who has been this way before.
