My Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon, my noble friend Lord Elton will, with the leave of the House, repeat a Statement, which is to be made in another place, on paying for local government.

It may be for the convenience of the House if I announce that the Committee stage of the Salmon Bill will be adjourned at approximately 7.30 p.m. for approximately one hour and that during this adjournment the Committee stage of the Incest and Related Offences (Scotland) Bill will be taken.
