My Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon my noble friend Lord Lucas of Chilworth will, with the leave of the House, repeat in the form of a Statement an Answer which is to be given in another place to a Private Notice Question on the sale of VSEL/Cammell Laird Group. This will be followed by my noble friend Lady Trumpington who, again with the leave of the House, will repeat a Statement on Social Security Benefits (Up-rating).

My Lords, it may be for the convenience of the House if I announce that the Committee stage of the Local Government Bill will be adjourned at approximately 7 p.m. for approximately one hour, and that during this adjournment the Report stages of the Incest and Related Offences (Scotland) Bill and the Marriage Bill will be taken.
