§ The Lord Chancellor (Lord Hailsham of Saint Marylebone)My Lords, I have to inform your Lordships that Her Majesty has been pleased to terminate the abeyance of the Barony of Strange in favour of Jean Cherry Drummond. The barony has been in abeyance since the death in 1982 of her father John, Lord Strange. A Writ of Summons has been issued in pursuance of Section 6 of the Peerage Act 1963, and the noble Baroness attends at the Bar to take her seat.
