My Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 p.m. my noble friend Lord Glenarthur will, with the leave of the House, repeat a Statement that is to be made in another place on the Popplewell Inquiry. This will be followed by my noble friend Lord Gray of Contin, who, again with the leave of the House, will repeat a Statement on the Chiswick Report.

It may be for the convenience of the House if I announce that the Committee stage of the Transport Bill will be adjourned at approximately 7 p.m. for about one hour, and that during this adjournment consideration of the Commons message on the Trustee Savings Banks Bill will be taken.
