My Lords, I beg to introduce a Bill to give effect in the United Kingdom law to United Nations Security Council and General Assembly Resolutions on Namibia; to provide for controlling the entry into and the exit from the United Kingdom of all aircraft travelling to or from South Africa or Namibia; to impose duties and restrictions in relation to gold, currency, payments, debts, and the import, export, transfer and settlement of property with South Africa or Namibia; to provide for facilitating the enforcement of the law relating to those matters; and for connected purposes. I beg to move that this Bill be now read a first time.
