My Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 p.m. this afternoon my noble friend Lord Lyell will, with the leave of the House, repeat in the form of a Statement an Answer to a Private Notice Question in another place on the use of medical cards as proof of identity in Northern Ireland local elections.

It may be for the convenience of the House if I announce that the Committee stage of the Local Government Bill will be adjourned at approximately 7.30 p.m. for a short period, and that during this adjournment the Eumestat (Legal Capacities) Order 1985 and the Specialised Agencies of the United Nations (Immunities and Privileges) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1985 will be taken.
