HL Deb 25 October 1984 vol 456 cc277-8

3.18 p.m.

Read a third time.

Clause 58 [Defence of due negligence]:

The Chairman of Committees (Lord Aberdare) moved the following amendment: Page 53, leave out line 24.

The noble Lord said: My Lords, this is a very minor technical amendment and it brings this Bill into line with the Hereford City Council Bill, which your Lordships have just passed. The promoters of the Bill seek to make this amendment and I would commend it to your Lordships. I can go into further detail, but it is fairly complicated, and I would recommend the amendment. I beg to move.

On Question, amendment agreed to.

Lord Aberdare

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill do now pass.

Moved, That the Bill do now pass.—(Lord Aberdare.)

On Question, Bill passed, and sent to the Commons.
