How many houses are owned by the Ministry of Defence, what is their income from rents, and how many of them are currently uninhabited.

On 31st March 1984 there were 4,320 dwellings which had been provided for civilian occupation on the defence estate. of which 650 were vacant. The rental income, including in some cases an element for rates, was £1,934,504 in 1983–84. These figures do not include married quarters provided for servicemen.
