HL Deb 06 March 1984 vol 449 c145
The Lord Chancellor

My Lords, I rise to move that this Bill be now read a second time. Again, this Bill is purely consolidation, consisting of the Food and Drugs Acts 1955 to 1982 and certain other measures which contain between them most of the legislation relating to the preparation, advertising and sale of food for human consumption. If your Lordships give this Bill a Second Reading it will be referred in the usual way. I beg to move.

Moved, That the Bill be now read a second time.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Bill read a second time, and referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.
