[References are to Bill 185 as first printed for the Commons]

Clause 118, page 78, line 14, leave out paragraphs (iv) and (v).

The Lord Chancellor

My Lords, I beg to move that the House doth agree with the Commons in their amendment. The amendment removes from the Bill two Northern Ireland provisions now unnecessary because of the Fines and Penalties (Northern Ireland) Order 1984. The order was made after the Bill had been considered by the joint committee but has been approved by the chairman, the noble Lord, Lord Brightman. I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question. Motion agreed to.
